SERVOLUTION AT NORTHPARK CHURCH, NC

I was so excited yesterday when I received an email from pastor Anthony Braswell (Northpark Church, NC) asking me to edit some text and add some info into the Servolution Video Remix that I’ve done a couple months ago. Northpark Church, instead of having their regular Sunday Services, the whole church is going to be doing 6 different outreaches on Sunday August 23rd. Northpark Church is going to make a huge impact in the city of Raleigh, NC and although I am not going to be physically there, I can say that I was a part of this amazing day. This artist, Mr J Medeiros, ran a campaign against sexual abuse and human trafficking and his songs expose this subject. He was one of the performers in Catalyst West Coast.

Now that father’s day is aproaching I would like to celebrate that day honoring my father in heaven. I am so thankful for the ways God shows himself in my life. I also want to share this cleaver poem which satirically dealt with the thinkings of the Modern Mind. It’s humourus and shockingly true. This poem it’s call “Creed” by Steve Turner.

We believe in Marx, Freud,and Darwin
We believe everything is OK
as long as you don’t hurt anyone

Today I finished the promo video to Capital Women’s Conference where Christine Caine from Hillsong Australia is going to be preaching. I think this conference is going to be awesome! 

I loved doing this video because I had to go through the amazing movie Passion of the Christ to get some footage, and It’s funny how I can’t keep myself from crying each time I watch it. In Matthew 11:29, Jesus asked us to do something that He already had done. As the good leader that Jesus was, he lead by example! He told us to “take his yoke and learn from Him”. I love making the comparison between the video and the Bible verse. We can see how gentle and humble in heart Jesus was. While he was being crucified he never fought back, and because He took the heaviest cross for us, now His yoke is easy and His burden is light. What an amazing Father we have in Jesus! Let’s remember that we should be the ones suffering on the cross and going through all that, but that Christ offered himself as the sacrifice for us, to set us free forever!

I’ve created this video to show this passage to the Bible at the Youth Service. What Happens when people meet Jesus? Mark 1:16-20 it’s a clear example of that. We can see how Jesus called his disciples and they left everything, they stop doing what they were doing at that moment, and just followed Jesus. I love what Jesus says to them: “…I will make you fishers of men…” because these guys were fishermen, Jesus promised them that they were going to use their talents and skills (fish) but with and amazing purpose: to reach MEN for the Kingdom. I think that we as Christ followers have the same call. Jesus has given you talents and skills, and He wants you to follow Him so that He can master you in reaching Men for the Kingdom using your talents. I see it this way, I am a graphic artist, I love doing videos, and I know that God wants me to use what I do best to touch people’s lives. I think this is awesome!! 

What are the steps to take to get close to God? I got this idea to explained it a little bit better. If we are a car in a highway trying to get to our final destination. First we have to pass different exits, it depends of you if you will continue on going on the road or if you will exit and never get closer to God. First, you feel CURIOUS about God (that’s the first exit on the road), then you get a real CONNECTION with God. Then you will pass the COMMUNION WITH HIM exit sign and the last sign is that you are FINALLY CHANGED. The time that it will take us from Curious to Changed depends only on our willing to let God be the Lord of our lives. Are we ready to take the ride?
